Deadlocked decision-making was preventing the lucrative sale of the firm. Because of communication difficulties and deadlocked decision-making, the two 50-50 partners in a successful and innovative Wall Street investment firm were unable to agree on the strategic sale of the firm to a group of international investors. Liz was retained by the two partners to assist in facilitating an agreement between the partners and key employees of the firm to successfully transition the firm to the new owners. By facilitating a discussion focused on short- and long-term business interests, and developing a creative structure for the purchase, the two founders were able to reap the value they had built over decades and comfortably exit the business.
